IT’S GOING TO BE A GREAT EVENT ON JUNE 13, 2008!

SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE AND REGISTRATION

From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. there will be a School Open House and School Tour as well as registration.

Thank you to the Ipswich School Board who will be hosting the Open House and School Tour

as well as coffee and cookies during the Open House.

Registration will continue until 5:45 p.m. OR as needed with the meal beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m.

BUS TOUR

The bus tour of the town, which will be directed by Mike Gauer and narrated by Tom Morgan, will start

from the School Auditorium entrance (south side of the building).

The bus tour will take approximately 25 minutes and will point out “Pick-up” and “Drop-off” points

for transportation to and from the Trail Days weekend events as well as other highlights of past and present.

There will only be 4 bus tours with approximately 25 people per tour. The last bus will run at 4:00 p.m.

EVENING MEAL TO START AT 6:00 P.M. WITH SHORT PROGRAM TO FOLLOW

Cheryl’s Catering Service of Orient, SD will be serving the meal buffet style. The menu consists of a hot Beef or Pork Loin sandwich served on a Ciabatta bun with Potato Salad, Pasta Vegetable Salad, Cole Slaw and Fresh Fruit Salad. Do you have a sweet tooth? Cheesecake will be served with your choice of Strawberry, Raspberry, Cherry or Blueberry toppings for a delicious dessert.

Although the meal will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. please don’t let that keep you from attending. Serving will continue until all registered guests have had a chance to be served.

IPSWICH HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES, FACULTY & SCHOOL BOARD BOOK

The “Graduate and Faculty Book” that has been compiled has been printed and the final cost has been tallied. If you are picking your book up at the reunion the suggested donation is $15. If you are requesting one to be mailed the suggested donation is $20. This is a “compilation of names” of graduates from 1906 to 2008 of Ipswich High School students as well as a listing of Faculty and School Board from 1938 to 2008. There are approximately 100 pages and it is a soft cover book that is spiral bound. The proceeds from this book are helping to fund the All School Reunion. We are sure that you will enjoy what has been put together for your reading pleasure! Pre-orders are still being taken. A limited supply will be available at the reunion.

ORANGE AND BLACK!

An additional fund- raiser-souvenir that will be available for sale is decks of Orange and Black playing cards. The suggested donation for these cards will be $5 per deck.

They will be available the day of the I H S Reunion!

(They have been printed with the date of the reunion as well as a tiger mascot.)

CLASS PICTURES

During the reunion there will be class pictures taken and available by Tony and Lynn Gauer. As time permits Tony will present a slide show of the pictures taken through out the event.

100 YEARS OF IPSWICH HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS

Past Teacher and Coach, Marv Seyer has compiled and written a book of 100 Years of Ipswich High School Sports.

This book contains:

· 100 pages and hundreds of pictures of individual athletes and teams

· Yearly summaries of each sport from 1910 to the present with short stories and pictures of athletes

· Featured stories of exceptional teams and accomplishments with pictures from 1934 to the present

· Updated school records for each sport

· Future updates will be available upon request

"The proceeds from the sale of this book will go to establish a fund for a monetary award to the Outstanding Senior Athletes each year.  It is hoped that this fund will grow to be equivalent to the Hip Hammrich and Barb Scheele Scholarship awards that are given out yearly".
