The Ipswich Area Foundation

What is the Ipswich Area Foundation?

The IAF idea was brought forth by the members of the undefeated 1949 Ipswich Tiger football team. Other Ipswich High School Graduates and community minded citizens have taken up the cause.

The Ipswich Area Foundation is a group dedicated to the future of Ipswich and the surrounding community. The IAF is associated with the South Dakota Community Foundation, who will administer our fund for us for a nominal fee.

Up to 5% of the fund will be returned to the community each year to aid in education, health, cultural and environmental enhancement and support of nonprofit organizations. It is the intent of the foundation to fund at least one scholarship annually to a deserving area graduate and as our fund grows, hopefully we will be able to help many students.

Although IAF is associated with the South Dakota Community Foundation, all decisions concerning grants will be made by the local board of directors.

Fund Raising

Efforts to raise funds will be an ongoing enterprise of the IAF.

The growth and prosperity of our fund will rely largely on the generosity and philanthropy of past, present and future citizens and businesses of the Ipswich area.

There is no better way to leave a lasting legacy in your community than to support the Ipswich Area Foundation with a donation to a permanent endowment that will benefit the community and it's citizens for generations.

Potential donors should contact any of the members of the board of directors or the South Dakota Community Foundation directly at 1-800-888-1842 about various ways of giving.
