About Us Avera United Clinic of Ipswich was created with the patient in mind and to make them our number one priority. Our goal is to provide quality medical care in a rural community. We also strive to work as a team to provide these services. Avera United Clinic of Ipswich is a satellite clinic of Avera United Clinic in Aberdeen, South Dakota and a member of the Avera St. Luke's family. What this means for the Avera United Clinic of Ipswich is that they oversee day to day operations of the clinic. Avera United clinic also employs the staff of the Ipswich Clinic. All billing and insurance is done through Avera United Clinic of Aberdeen. There is no charge to the patient for this service. Appointments The Avera United Clinic of Ipswich is staffed Monday through Friday by a Certified Physician Assistant (PAC). A physician assistant can perform many of the duties of a physician. Physician days are on Thursday's. When scheduling your appointment, please specify if you are requesting to see a physician of a physician assistant. We ask that you call to make an appointment in advance, so we may schedule the appropriate length of time for the appointment. We also ask that you call to cancel your appointment if it is not needed. Clinical Services Avera United Clinic of Ipswich is able to meet the medical needs of most patients. Some of the procedures and exams that can be done at our clinic include:
(Most test are completed locally in our clinic laboratory; in specific cases, specimens may be sent to a referral laboratory for final analysis. Results from any test can be sent to your physician.)
All insurance and Medicare information is needed at the time of your appointment. Your insurance and Medicare will be filed for you. Avera United Clinic of Ipswich accepts Medicare assignment. Medicare will send their payment directly to us. You will be billed for the yearly deductible and coinsurance. The difference between the charge and the Medicare allowable will be written off. Please present your Medicaid card to the receptionist at the time of service. You will also be required to pay your co-payment when indicated. Please notify us when Medicaid has been discontinued. Financial Arrangements Payment for services are due at the time services are rendered unless payment arrangements have been approved by our staff. We accept cash and checks. Your insurance is a contract between you and/or your employer and the insurance company. We are not part of this contract. Although we file your insurance as a courtesy, charges are still your responsibility. We will be glad to discuss any questions you have about charges on your insurance, Medicare or Medicaid. At times, financial problems do arise which may affect your account. If this should happen, please contact our office as soon as possible so arrangements can be made. |
