Ipswich Area Foundation

The IAF is a group dedicated to the future of Ipswich and the surrounding community.  The IAF is associated with the South Dakota Community Foundation, who administers the fund for a nominal fee.  Grants are awarded in January and July of each year.

Up to 5% of the fund will be returned to the community each year to aid in education, health, cultural and environmental enhancements and support of non-profit organizations.  It is the intent of the foundation to fund at least one scholarship annually to a deserving area graduate, and as our fund grows, hopefully we will be able to help many students. 

Although IAF is associated with the South Dakota Community Foundation, all decisions concerning grants will be made by the local board of directors. The Ipswich Area Foundation idea was brought forth by the members of the undefeated 1949 Ipswich Tiger football team.  Other Ipswich High School graduates and community-minded citizens have taken up the cause.
